A stunning 112 piece set of sterling silver cutlery made by premier UK silversmith Mappin & Webb in the "Rattail" Pattern.
This set is for 12 persons.
Set comprises 12 of; (Lid) table knives, dessert knives (Top level) table forks, dessert forks, soup spoons, dessert spoons (Lower level) fish knives, fish forks, tea spoons + In addition there are 4 serving spoons and salad fork and spoon.
Comes in the original canteen box, with key.

Markings: All fully hallmarked marked for Mappin & Webb, dating 1996. Weighable silver just under 4kg. Size:
All in cm: (Lid) table knives 24.5 cm, dessert knives 21.7 cm (Top level) table forks 20.3 cm, dessert forks 17.6 cm, soup spoons 17.5 cm, dessert spoons 17.5 cm (Lower level) fish knives 21 cm, fish forks 19.3 cm, tea spoons 13 cm, table spoons 21.5 cm and salad 21 cm.
Condition: Item is in excellent condition - used for high days and holidays only, so some very light surface silver cleaning marks, knives in excellent order. Box in excellent condition, but some scratches to the varnish on the top surface. Please see images above.
