Description
19th century Meissen plates, 8 in this size decorated in the famous Indian Purple despite its pink colour, which was first produced by Meissen in the 18th century. The flowers are painted in a vibrant pink on a white ground and picked out in gold. Part of a large selection of items in this decoration I recently acquired. Circa 1880
