Art deco sapphire and old cut diamond marquis shaped ring set in 18k yellow gold. Circa 1920's. What makes this a most unusual and original ring is that the central Sapphire is particularly big, approximately 1carat in weight. Rings of this design usually had much smaller central stones. The sapphire is also a desirable deep blue colour, with a good transparency allowing light to radiate through. There are approiximately 1ct of old cut diamonds. The diamonds are faceted extremely well, and are of very high quality. S.Greenstein & Co
