Solid Sterling Silver - Heraldic HIP FLASK - Joseph Willmore 1841
£900.00
Description
A visually stunning and unique ladies antique sterling silver hip or perfume flask.
This premium quality delicate piece features an oval shape and screw top lid.
Two hand engraved Heraldic motifs suggest that this could have been a wedding gift between two families, at present we've been unable to trace the marks.
Comes unboxed.
Markings: Fully hallmarked for .925 sterling silver, dated Birmingham 1841.
First letter of sponsor's mark sadly obscured, we think most likely Joseph Willmore. The flask weighs 70 grams.
Size: Measures 6" (15 cm) tall, 3 1/2" (8.5 cm) wide and 1 3/4" (4 cm) deep.
Condition: Item is in excellent condition, professionally cleaned and polished, hygienically clean and ready to go. The lid does not leak. Some very very slight signs of use commensurate with age - please see images above.
