Description
An excellent example of an antique sterling silver hip flask from the workshops of the highly collectable, investment quality, Victorian silversmith George Unite.
This flask is a prime example of Victorian stylized Baroque floral engraving.
This is a fine, premium quality example, larger size that features a screw cap shaped as a silver hammer. All mounted on an unusual tall, powder flask shaped body. A good size that has a vacant cartouche to the front suitable for personalisation if desired.
Comes without the original box, but supplied with one of our grey velvet pouches.
Markings: Fully hallmarked for .925 sterling silver, dated Birmingham 1859. Sponsors mark "GU". Weight of 110 grams.
Size: Measures 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) tall, 2 3/4" (7 cm) wide. Approx. 5 fl oz, 150 ml.
Condition: Item is in excellent condition, professionally cleaned and polished and re-corked, ready to go. Some very slight signs of use to the edges of the flask (as pictured) commensurate with age, a few dents around the edges - please see images above.
