Sterling Silver - Art Deco Style P H Vogel MUG - James Bond Connection
Sterling Silver - Art Deco Style P H Vogel MUG - James Bond Connection
£700.00
Description
An unusual example of a sterling silver mug.
Made by the firm of P H Vogel of Birmingham, England. The mug with tapered cylindrical body, unembellished, over circular ribbed stepped foot and unusual handle. Please note that we think that this is more likely to be a carved stag horn rather than boar's tusk.
So... the James Bond connection... This has come from the collection of Lewis Gilbert, director of "You only Live Twice", "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker".
Gross weight 296 grams.
Mug is in excellent clean condition, no splits, or damage, no personalization or engravings, silver is not overly polished so does have a fine patina. Light surface marks from cleaning, no deep or heavy scratches. 1 small dent to the front, too small to photograph. Please see images above.
