Description

A nice, clean example of an antique early Edwardian sterling silver hip flask, with bayonet top fitting.

Made by the firm of Drew & Sons of Piccadilly, London. This is premium quality flask. This flask is comes with gilded interior, removable push on cup to the base, with tightly fitting bayonet cap hinging off to the back. No signs of any erasures or embellishment, the flask is made of a good heavyweight gauge of silver and would suit personalisation if required.

Comes unboxed, but comes with one of our velvet pouches.

Markings: Fully hallmarked for .925 sterling silver, dated 1917. Maker's mark as per image above, and additional retailer's markings to the base of the flask. 197 grams in weight. Holds 4 fl oz / 120 ml.

Size: Measures 4 3/4" (12 cm) tall, 2 3/4" (7 cm) wide.

Condition: Flask is in excellent condition, it's been cleaned and polished, so has a nice soft silver patina. The hallmarks to the rear of the body and cup are clear and sharp. We can find no evidence of erasures or restoration. Please see images above.
