Description
An excellent example of an antique sterling silver hip flask from the workshops of the highly collectable, investment quality, Victorian silversmith George Unite.
This flask is a prime example of Victorian stylized floral engraving.
This is a fine, premium quality example, larger size that features a screw cap. All mounted on a kidney shaped rectangular body with rounded shoulders. A good size that has a vacant cartouche to the front suitable for personalisation if desired.
Comes without the original box, but supplied with one of our grey velvet pouches.
Markings: Fully hallmarked for .925 sterling silver, dated Birmingham 1888. Sponsors mark "GU". Weight of 124 grams.
Condition: Item is in excellent condition, professionally cleaned and polished and re-corked, ready to go. There is a vintage strap to the base, possibly a historical repair that we've left on as it provides extra strength. Some very very slight signs of use commensurate with age - please see images above.
