Description
A rare Stevens & Williams Crystal claret jug.
Late 19th / early 20th century, this is a single green cut through to clear thistle shaped sided jug featuring polished intaglio cutting in the typical Stevens & Williams style.

Markings: Unmarked / unsigned. No maker's marks.
Size: Measures 10" (25.5 cm) tall.
Condition: Item is in used condition. Fundamentally sound, there are no annealing cracks around the handles / body areas. The Interior has a little detritus to the base, but not "cloudy" per se. The decoration to the body looks to have survived without chips or damages. Heavy handed early use with the stopper has had the effect of some damage to the very top of the rim in two places - please see final image above (These are highlighted in red).
