A vintage Tiffany & Co. turquoise, diamond and white gold crescent brooch, set with three rows of graduating, cabochon-cut turquoise, interspersed with eight-cut diamonds, with an approximate total weight of 0.30ct, in spitched, bezel settings, with pierced gallery below, with a pin and roller catch fitting, mounted in 18ct white gold, signed Tiffany e C, in a cartouche, Italian, circa 1960.
In Victorian symbolism the crescent or new moon represented a new relationship. Hopeful it will "wax" into matrimony. This vintage brooch continues the tradition.
