Description

An exceptional English oval shaped antique sterling silver tea service.

Comprising a teapot, a creamer, a sugar bowl and teapot stand.

The teapot of oval form with hinged lid mounted with a turned wooden finial and handle, all engraved with monogram JAS, then together with a matched silver twin-handled sugar bowl by Samuel Godbehere, Edward Wigan & James Boult, 1806.

Total weight approx. 1050 grams.

Please note that this set is over 200 years old, so please expect patina due to age and use, including some fine surface scratches from polishing. Teapot has some very minor dents and nicks. Sugar bowl does show one more obvious dent, however not overly noticeable. All in a very handsome and useable set. Please see images above.
