Description
19th century Japanese wood Okimono of the “Sanzaru” depicting the famous story See no evil,hear no evil,speak no evil. The finely carved group with well defined hair work and inlaid horn eyes is by “Koichi” famous for his carving of monkey subjects as can be seen with the netsukes posted. Meiji period circa 1880
