Description
An exceptionally fine pair of Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond drop Earrings, each comprising of a substantial Round Natural, Transparent Blue Sapphire. Each Sapphire remains unweighted (left in their settings) and measure 7 mm. x 3.4 mm. and 7 mm. x 3.90 mm. respectively, they have also been assessed as Natural with no indication of Heat Treatment observed . Each well matched Sapphire is surrounded by a scrolling, "Millegrain" edged foliate design, containing approximately twenty "Rub Over" set "Old Cut" and "Single Cut" Diamonds. The Earrings are complete with articulated "Shepherds Crook" fittings which have a further six small "Old and Single Cut" Diamonds, and one "Rub Over" set "Old Cut" Diamond to the articulated link, there are 54 Diamonds in total.
Accompanied by an Independent Gemmological Report confirming the above assessment.
It should be noted the untreated Sapphires are scarce.
