A fine Art Deco fire opal ring dating to the late 1920s, set with a vivid Australian fire opal weighing approximately 4.00 carats. The opal is framed by a halo of old cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.20 carats, all mounted in a platinum topped setting over an 18ct gold band. A striking example of period jewellery, ring size L½.
