Description
This rare Austro-Hungarian bracelet, made circa 1900, is an intricate and lyrical piece of enamel artistry.
Crafted in silver gilt and measuring 19cm in length by 3cm wide, it tells a quiet story across eight connected panels.
Four hand-painted enamel scenes follow a woman through the seasons - winter, spring, summer and autumn - each set within a softly enamelled guilloché-style ground and framed in detailed gilt filigree.
Between them, decorative roundels are set with clusters of three coral cabochons, their raised silverwork borders enriched with red and black enamel accents that contrast beautifully against a pale turquoise base.
The design is painterly, joyful, and exceptionally well executed - a wearable narrative of time, nature and skilled craftsmanship, preserved in remarkable condition.
Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
