East to west Royal blue cabochon sapphire 9.3mm x 6.7mm (5.66cts total) rubover 18ct yellow gold bezel setting with two rows of gold round wire border and a brilliant cut set diamond cartouche motif set in 2hite gold. Marked 750. Maker’s mark Trio. American circa 1980. 16.5mm x 18.5mm. Clip fittings with a peg which has temporarily been moved. So previous owner didn’t have pierced earrings but decided to keep the peg by bending it out of the way. Easy to restore.
