A fine 18 Carat Yellow Gold mourning ring showing gentle worn marks, centred with a closed‑back set oblong Garnet of deep, even colour. The Garnet is encircled by eight collet set Natural Pearls, with three further Natural Pearls to each shoulder, bringing the total to fourteen Natural Pearls.
The ring is completed by a finely carved Foliate style split shank, adding a graceful sculptural detail that enhances its period charm. The distinctive cut out settings are an exceptional example of their type and contribute to the ring’s desirability among collectors of antique mourning jewellery.
