A beautiful Edwardian moonstone pendant necklace, finely crafted in 15ct yellow gold and centred with a large oval cabochon moonstone displaying a subtle blue adularescent glow. The moonstone is framed by an elaborate openwork surround of scrolling gold wirework and delicate bead detailing, creating a wonderfully intricate Edwardian design. The pendant is suspended from a fine 15ct gold 19″ chain, with the decorative scrollwork continuing through the articulated triangular connection between the pendant and chain. The combination of the luminous moonstone and finely worked gold gives this necklace a particularly elegant and distinctive character. The moonstone and surround measures 2.65mm x 3.2mm and the whole piece weighs 9.5g. The stunning necklace also comes in the lovely antique display box pictured and bares a W.H.H hallmarks.
