Description
A pair of late 19th-century French Etruscan Revival drop earrings, crafted in 18ct gold and dating to the 1880s.
Each earring is set with two luminous and spherical cabochon-cut amethysts, totalling approximately 24 carats.
The larger stones are framed by a beautifully detailed millegrain and engraved gold band that encircles each gem.
Hallmarked with the French eagle’s head and a maker’s mark. Drop length: 33mm. Diameter: 12.5mm.
Bold, elegant, and finely made, a lovely example of 19th-century Etruscan revival design.
