Charlotte Sayers - A rare and finely preserved Georgian Rococo mourning band ring, delicately crafted in rich yellow gold with ornate black enamel detailing throughout. The band is set at intervals with rose-cut diamonds in silver-topped settings. Elegantly inscribed ‘Henr’a Thompson Ob. 4 Oct 1762 Ae 75’, commemorating the life and passing of Henry Thompson at the age of 75 on 4th October 1762.The makers mark is indistinct but possibly I.W.
