Lapis & Moonstone Silver Pendant Necklace | Amy Sandheim | Arts & Crafts c.1930s

Description
This remarkable pendant necklace by Amy Sandheim is a quiet triumph of the British Arts & Crafts movement.
Made in the 1930s, it pairs the velvety depth of lapis lazuli with the soft glow of moonstone.
A teardrop of lapis anchors the piece, set in intricately worked silver and crowned with moonstone cabochons that appear to float in place.
The original 100cm handmade chain is equally considered, long, graceful, and threaded with silver details and accents of lapis and moonstone.
All of Amy Sandheim’s chains were made bespoke to complement each pendant precisely.
This necklace reflects her instinct for letting materials remain slightly wild.
It is exceptionally rare to find a Sandheim pendant with its original silver chain, especially in such fine condition.
Over time, many were separated or lost, but here, both elements have survived together, their craftsmanship and detail beautifully preserved.
