If you are looking for a classic Rolex Air King 5500 then you would be hard pressed to find a full collectors set as good as this! Amazingly this watch is from 1979 as per the original warranty papers and receipt and just look at everything that comes with it.
We have chosen to run this through our watchmaker but left the case and bracelet completely unpolished (of course this could be done upon request). It shows marks and scratches that would all come out but we see the beauty and value in it being left as it is untouched.
34mm stainless steel case with smooth steel bezel, the classic Air King dial of the era being a light silver colour with silver raised baton hour markers and silver hands. Having been through the workshop we have the watch reading within +/ 2 seconds per day.
Fitted to a steel Rolex Oyster bracelet with folding clasp that would fit a wrist to 17.5cm.
Plexiglass and operating from a 1520 Calibre movement that gives this automatic watch a power reserve of up to 40 hours.
Accompanying the watch is the original 'Sea Horse' style outer box and inner box, original Rolex Warranty Papers accompanied with Watches of Switzerland receipt from the initial sale in London in 1979. Further receipt for services in 1984 and 2008. Manual and wallet included too.
