From a time when watch reference barely existed and a 26mm case size was considered suitable for any wrist this vintage Rolex from 1938 has certainly stood the test of time.
With a case made from 9ct rose gold and measuring 26mm squared its a wonder as to how the dial has survived almost 100 years in such excellent condition. Off white / cream coloured with bold number hour markers which in places have smudged or rubbed a little however the dial overall has a lovely coloured, a wonderful patina and lasted the test of time.
Metallic blue hands complement the dial. Fitted to a black leather Omega strap (all we have that would fit and work on such a watch!),
Manual wind and left unpolished, the watch works incredibly well as it is considering its age it runs around 50 seconds out a day, we could have serviced if requested however working fine as it is.
A really special wonderful little watch that has stood the test of time.
