Description

There’s a quiet strength to this piece.

Made in 1862, it’s a Victorian stick pin set in 15 carat gold, with a beautifully hand-painted lion’s head beneath a polished rock crystal dome.

The detail is soft and characterful.

The lion is a powerful symbol - courage, loyalty, protection - and in the 19th century, it meant all of that and more.

Pieces like this weren’t about decoration. They were personal. Worn to say something about who you were, or who you stood beside.

At 7cm long with a 1.8cm head, it’s easy to wear, but full of presence.

The gold has that warm tone only antique 15ct develops, and the crystal gives the whole piece a quiet glow.

It’s the sort of thing people often overlook - but once you notice it, you can’t stop thinking about it.
