A mid Victorian desk seal dating to the 1850s, carved from banded agate and mounted in 15ct gold. The base is encircled by a gold serpent motif and set with a bloodstone seal engraved 'PAIX À MON AMIE' (“Peace to my friend”). Measuring approximately 7cm long and 2cm wide.
