19th Century French Etruscan Revival Amethyst Earrings in 18ct Gold
19th Century French Etruscan Revival Amethyst Earrings in 18ct Gold
POA
Description
A striking pair of late 19th-century French Etruscan Revival drop earrings, crafted in 18ct gold and dating to the 1880s.
Each earring is set with two spherical cabochon-cut amethysts - rich in tone and luminous in finish - totalling approximately 24 carats.
The larger stones are framed by a millegrain and engraved gold band, their geometric detailing adding refined texture and echoing ancient decorative forms.
This is Etruscan Revival at its most confident: architectural yet soft, luxurious but not fussy - where scale, colour, and surface work in quiet harmony.
Hallmarked with the French eagle’s head and a maker’s mark. Drop length: 33mm. Diameter: 12.5mm.
Bold, elegant, deeply wearable, and steeped in 19th-century craftsmanship - a true revivalist piece with enduring modern appeal.
Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
