An unusually heavy 18ct Yellow Gold (tested), Oval Carnelian, Intaglio, Signet ring, finely carved with the image of a warrior wearing a winged helmet.
The winged messenger helmet is a symbol most famously associated with the Greek God Hermes and his Roman counterpart Mercury. The wings represent speed, symbolising their role as a swift messenger of the Gods.
