Description

A fabulous antique 1912 5 diamond snake ring crafted in 18ct yellow gold and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1912. The ring features a coiled serpent represented by 3 bands, its raised head set with five graduated Victorian brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds are set closely along the head, graduating towards either end and giving the ring a wonderful sparkle against the rich yellow gold. The substantial sculptural construction and flowing form make this a particularly striking example of the snake rings fashionable during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. The total diamond weight is 0.65ct, H-I in colour and VS2 in clarity. The ring weighs 9.4g and can be resized.
