A limited edition brooch and pendant by Asprey & Garrard, made in London in 2001 and shaped as a miniature Dr Martens boot.
Crafted in solid 9 carat gold with a soft satin finish, the piece is accented with tiny diamonds set into each lace eyelet - a brilliant clash of subculture and high craft.
The form is unmistakable: from the softly rounded toe and thick sole to the exaggerated tongue and loop at the heel.
The reverse is fitted with a brooch clasp and a concealed loop so it can also be worn as a pendant.
