Belle Époque Enamel & Gold Quartz Brooch with Pearls | c.1910
Belle Époque Enamel & Gold Quartz Brooch with Pearls | c.1910
POA
Description
This beautiful brooch dates to around 1910, sitting right at the meeting point of the Belle Époque and Art Nouveau.
Set in 15ct gold, the brooch centres on a flat polished quartz with visible gold inclusions, like tiny flecks of sunlight.
It’s framed by delicate enamel work in pale blue and white, and finished with three pearls and three matching enamel drops that move gently when worn.
The shape and materials reflect the Belle Époque’s love of softness and balance, while the flowing lines and organic enamel detail show a clear Art Nouveau influence, and it remains as effortlessly wearable today.
Measuring about 5cm by 5cm.
