Description
An elegant Victorian diamond lyre brooch, circa 1870–1880, crafted in 18ct gold and silver. The intricate lyre-shaped design is set with six old-cut diamonds, adding delicate sparkle to the ornamental form. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 0.45ct and are graded H–I in colour and VS–SI in clarity. A beautiful example of Victorian jewellery inspired by the classical musical instrument.
The brooch measures 2.7cm in length.
