A finely carved gold georgian pearl ring, the centre featuring a lock of hair. Rings featuring hair were seen as a love tokens.
The memorial rings set with hair usually featured black enamel.
Very often the hair was removed and a garnet was set in its place. This ring is original and dates from the 1820's.
