Probably French, 13th/14th century.

Measures 3.6 x 3.5cm (excluding bronze display stand).

Originally an element from a processional cross.

A similar composition can be found in a pair of gilded copper reliefs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession Number: 2012.70.1, .2.
