19th century Meissen figure from the most renowned Commedia dell’arte series originally commissioned by the Duke of Sachsen-Weissenfelsand executed by Kaendler in 1744. This particular model depicts Gnaga who actually wears a mask depicting the face of a cat and was worn by male prostitutes and transvestites in Venice. This figure dates around 1890
