Description
19th century Meissen figural group from the Commedia dell’arte series commissioned by the Duke of Weissenfels and executed by Kaendler in 1744. This series was based on engravings by François Joullain from Louis Riccoboni’s Histoire du Theatre Italien. This particular model made around 1890 depicts Harlequin and Columbine with a harlequin infant
