Fine quality Meissen burgundy-ground reticulated plate finely painted with a rustic scene in the manner of Philips Wouwerman (the 17th century Dutch painter) within a central reserve. The reticulated border pierced with trellis and vine applied with forget-me-nots,the plate well decorated on a rich burgundy ground picked out in gold. Circa 1870
