Now this really is a rare watch to find.... This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer Date has the reference number 5701 which is much more commonly seen with an 'Airking Date' stamped dial. Extensive research brings us to the conclusion that this style dial was made for a local territory, more than likely to be for the Canadian market.
It shares all the same dimensions and movement as the 'Airking Date' it was just that the dial was made exclusively for a certain territory by Rolex.
34mm stainless steel case with a yellow gold fluted bezel that matches the crown and the hour markers. Off white coloured dial that has aged to give a yellowish tint to it.
In fine working order the watch operates from a 1530 Calibre movement and is in fine working order. Condition wise the watch has been polished previously however retains all edges and features.
Fitted to stainless steel Rolex Oyster Bracelet to fit a wrist to 17.5cm. 7835 and 357 end links.
