Description
A charming Victorian necklace, its fine box-link chain hung with a turquoise-set heart slider and matching cross, both worked in the same hand-engraved scrollwork — clearly conceived as a single design rather than assembled from separate parts. The cross is set with turquoise cabochons along an engraved gold ground, and the heart slider threads freely along the chain above it, echoing the same decoration.
Crafted in 15ct gold, a standard discontinued by British law in 1932 and only used for a few decades before that — this piece sits within that narrow window, making the 15ct mark itself a useful dating clue alongside its style. The chain fastens with a screw barrel clasp.
