A striking Victorian cross pendant set with beautifully matched Scottish banded agate cabochons displaying dramatic natural black, brown and white stripes. The cross is highlighted by delicate seed pearl accents to each terminal and is mounted in warm yellow 15ct gold, creating a wonderful contrast against the richly coloured agates. Scottish agate jewellery became highly sought after during the Victorian era due the Queen Victorias deep affection for Scotland and Scottish culture after purchasing Balmoral Castle.
