A fabulous vintage Hermès Torsade Silver ring by Vachey, with a sculptural twisted-rope design running around the band. The broad, softly domed form is composed of closely spaced diagonal twists, creating the distinctive rope-like texture associated with Hermès’ Torsade design. Signed HERMÈS to the interior and bearing the lozenge-shaped maker’s mark for Lucien Vachey, the French jeweller who produced jewellery for Hermès. Also on the outside of the ring is a Crab guarantee punch incicating 800 Silver. A particularly wearable piece of 1970s vintage Hermès jewellery with the Maison’s characteristic equestrian-inspired use of rope and harness forms. The ring weighs 7.2g.
