Victorian Green Guilloché Enamel and Pearl Orb Earrings | c.1880s
Victorian Green Guilloché Enamel and Pearl Orb Earrings | c.1880s
POA
Description
Bold, playful, and beautifully made, these late Victorian earrings feel as fresh today as they did in the 1880s.
Each earring is created from rich 18ct yellow gold, centred on a vivid guilloché enamel sphere in emerald green - a rare and mesmerising colour.
Nineteen natural seed pearls encircle each orb, with a further cluster of pearls and a matching emerald green enamel dome at the top for an added note of elegance.
The earrings are finished with elegant gold shepherd’s hook fittings, and measure approximately 3cm in length by 1.5cm across.
In their own time, earrings like these would have been worn by someone with money and taste - likely an artistic or cosmopolitan woman who embraced colour, eccentricity, and the luxurious novelty of enamel.
They would have caught candlelight at dinner, or drawn glances at a theatre box - refined, but quietly daring.
Today, they’re even more striking.
The ball silhouette, paired with the deep green and luminous pearls, makes them feel utterly modern - a chic, sculptural statement with real character.
They dress up easily but don’t demand formality: just as at home with an evening gown as with a white shirt and jeans.
Lightweight, flattering, and full of life, they bring elegance and colour without effort.
