A striking Victorian Square Trombone & Secret Link Albert Chain crafted in 9ct yellow gold weighing 28.5g. The chain combines elongated square-edged trombone links with faceted secret links to create a particularly architectural and unusual design. The open rectangular trombone links alternate with tightly constructed secret links, their faceted surfaces catching the light beautifully and giving the chain considerably more texture than a traditional trombone Albert. Each link has a secondary link inside meaning every link is suspended from each other. The devise is subtle and intricate. Finished with traditional swivel dog clips and a central T-bar drop, the chain was originally intended as a gentleman’s watch chain but works beautifully today worn closely around the neck. This chain is very well made and created by highly skilled victorian goldsmith.
