This Sweet Vintage 1991 Running Fox Brooch With Ruby Eyes is a wonderfully characterful piece of British animal jewellery, modelled as a fox captured in full stride. Crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the fox has beautifully textured fur and finely modelled features, with a small ruby-set eye providing a lovely flash of colour. Ruby eyes are a traditional detail found in fine gold fox jewellery, particularly pieces inspired by British sporting and country life. The piece has the hallmarks for Birmingham 1991, the brooch has the appearance and detail of much earlier sporting jewellery while being a very wearable vintage piece. The reverse is fitted with a traditional pin fastening, allowing the fox to sit naturally across a jacket, lapel, scarf or collar. It measures 3.6cm x 1cm and weighs 8.4g.
