Description
Chinese famille rose teapot and cover, early Qianlong (1736-1795), with a pear-shaped body, decorated in rich enamels with flowering boughs of peony and aster below a band of pink diaper ground with floral cartouches to the rim, the handle and straight spout with foliate iron-red decoration, the lid with a further pink diaper band with floral cartouches and peony heads, surmounted by a bud-shaped finial.
