A very fine Platinum & 18 Ct. Gold (French marks) Diamond & Pear Shaped "Black" Opal Jabot Pin. This exceptional Australian Black Opal is suspended in an articulated claw set mount from an "Art Nouveau" stylised terminal which is "Pave Set" with numerous small Round Diamonds and "Millegrain" edged; the stylised Diamond Set fastener at the bottom has a "quarter twist" lock and release mechanism.
This is an example of "Chic", 1920's Jewellery at its best.
