Edwardian Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring - Saddingtons Jewellery Stand 375
£2,950.00
Description
A beautiful Edwardian Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, finely handcrafted in platinum and centred by a rich royal blue natural Ceylon sapphire. The elegant 0.9ct sapphire is surrounded by a sparkling cluster of Edwardian transitional brilliant cut diamonds, creating the classic daisy design that has remained one of the most enduring and desirable styles of antique jewellery. The vivid blue sapphire displays the exceptional colour and transparency for which Ceylon sapphires are renowned. Sourced from the historic gem mines of Sri Lanka, these gemstones have been treasured for centuries and are celebrated for their remarkable brilliance and velvety blue hues. Encircling the sapphire is a halo of carefully matched diamonds, each individually set in platinum to maximise their natural sparkle, they are G-H in colour and VS2 clarity. The fine platinum setting reflects the refined craftsmanship of the Edwardian period, when platinum allowed jewellers to create delicate yet durable designs with an elegant, airy appearance. There are 10 diamonds each weighing 0.12 cts totalling 1.2 cts. This ring sits low on the finger and can be resized.
