Description
19th century Japanese wood Netsuke of a group of 9 masks from the famous Noh theatre which dates back to the 14th century. The Netsuke has 5 masks on one side and 4 on the other with a central himotoshi for the chord to run through. The well carved netsuke dating to the Meiji period circa 1890 is of a rich colour and good patina
