Description

Pair of Chinese Canton enamel ewers of square cross-section with indented corners and upright handles, late Qianlong (1735-96), each side decorated within panels of floral sprays and butterflies against a cellular turquoise background, s-shaped spout decorated with scrolls, handles decorated with scrolls, height: 17.5 cm. (6 7/8in.) , condition: one ewer with small area of inside of handle and base with chips neatly restored, the other with loss around base of spout neatly restored.
