Pair of Chinese double-peacock plates, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated in the centres with a peacock and peahen perched upon rockwork in a garden with blossoming flowers including peony, within a spear-head border to the cavetto, the wide rim with small floral sprays enclosed by a band of four-petal flowers and lobed cartouches with pink diaper ground
