Description
Pair of Chinese famille verte plates, Kangxi (1662-1722), c.1720, decorated to the central roundel with a small landscape scene with a hut, surrounded by a geometric floral band with three floral crests, the rim with gilt design against an orange ground with four cartouches containing scrolling flowers, the reverse with two floral sprigs in iron red, diameter: 22cm (8 5/8in.), condition: one with chip and fritting to rim, the other with one chip to underside of rim and wear to enamels.
